The Group shuts down for the winter on Tuesday 24th September.

The First meeting next year, 2025, is a discussion and demonstration on Tuesday April 8th at 4.30pm in the Croquet Garden area. Just come along if you want to join the group and see what is involved.

Croquet is an easy game to learn but it can be very competitive. The U3a group is learning 'Golf' Croquet and will be taught to play to win but have fun. There are Health and Safety requirements. It is not for people with bad backs or wobbly feet. There are lots of trip hazards, metal hoops, running balls and there is a gutter all the way round the lawn which is actually a Crown Green Bowls lawn.

Flat shoes are required and players should not wear open toed shoes. All the equipment needed is provided. The per session charge will rise to £5.00 in 2025 but includes a hot drink and biscuits in the Croquet Clubhouse. Games continue in most weather conditions except persistent rain.
