Do you feel strongly about environmental issues? Do you have a passion about conservation? Do you feel it is important to preserve the beauty and cleanliness of our beaches and shorelines?
If so, you may like to join this community-minded group undertaking a monthly beach clean. The Group meets once a month to keep local beaches clean and to raise people's awareness of how litter can affect marine life. We will also report significant findings or sightings to The Marine Conservation Society.
We meet on the third Tuesday of the month at 10.00 a.m. initially concentrating on two Llandudno areas: North Shore - Little Orme end and North Shore - Great Orme end. Conwy Council supports us and provides litter pickers, bag hoops and hi-viz vests and arranges collection of the rubbish.
It would be useful to bring your own strong gardening gloves and wear suitable footwear. U3A has Public Liability Insurance but no automatic Personal Liability Insurance
