How Our u3a Choir Started
By Lisa Dacks
I started our U3A because I wanted a choir which was serious but fun. I had sung in many choirs, but had no experience in leading one. I would just stand in front of the choir and wave my arms!! When I became ill, Beryl stood in for me and has been our conductor ever since.
We started off with 16 loyal members and now have 60 and a waiting list. Our performances have gone from strength to strength thanks to the wonderful Beryl. We sing a variety of songs from different eras, mainly from musicals, films and pop songs.
Come and join us on October 6th. for an enjoyable, uplifting afternoon.
Lisa Dacks.
