Joining the U3A

We are happy that you are considering joining our u3a. Before you join, we must draw your attention to a few items.

Code of Conduct

Members of the u3a are expected to conduct themselves within the u3a movement's "guiding principles". They are also expected to treat each other with dignity and respect. The Member Code of Conduct clarifies the standard of behaviour expected as a member of the u3a.

  • Members are expected to treat each other with dignity and respect at all times.
  • Members must always act in the best interests of Llandudno Area u3a and not do anything which could bring Llandudno Area u3a or the u3a movement into disrepute or expose it to undue risk
  • Members must use Llandudno Area u3a's resources responsibly and in harmony with our Vision and Mission
  • Members are expected to abide by the policies and procedures of Llandudno Area u3a, regardless of whether they conflict with their personal views.

How to join our u3a

Our membership year runs from 1st April to 31st March. If you apply to join during March you will be enrolled for the forthcoming membership year at no extra cost (i.e. March is free). The membership fees include a £4.00 fee which is paid to our national organisation, the Third Age Trust. If you are already a member of another U3A there is a reduced membership fee.

Alternatively, you can join at any of our monthly Open Meetings held on the first Tuesday of the month.
